Chris Sisarich: 25 Frames per Second

by AIPA

Auckland vice president Victoria Baldwin interviews Auckland based photographer and director Chris Sisarich.

He’s shot in Prague, Los Angeles, Egypt and Sydney, from the deserts of Mali to down-town New York, and the local studio down the road. Chris has exhibited work in New York, San Diego and Auckland. In 2013, 2015 and 2018 his work was recognised by Lurzer’s Archive in their ‘Top 200 Advertising Photographers Worldwide’ edition.

Now Chris has discovered moving pictures – the collaboration, the planning, and the storytelling, he loves it all. To use light, motion, movement, and character as a way to create story is wonderful. Being trained to tell a story in a single frame is a useful skill for a filmmaker. And having been in front of the camera a few times helps him when he works with actors, models, and performers.
